Who is Councilmember Ryan Stonemetz?

Councilmember Ryan Stonemetz originates from Zillah, however, has made Granger his home, fueled by a passion to enhance the Granger community. After leaving for college on a wrestling scholarship, Councilmember Stonemetz returned with a wealth of experience from various businesses and hit the ground running steadfast to make a difference here in Granger. His mission as a council member is to attract additional businesses that will enrich the diverse fabric of the Granger community by collaborating and partnering with corporate partners, the community, and city administrators. Together, a robust revitalization of Granger becomes the premier destination in the lower valley where residents take pride in their streets, parks, and vibrant local economy.

Experience

Councilmember Stonemetz proudly transformed some of the old Granger Sheep Barns and introduced Granger to its first national grocery and retail store, the Dollar General. Councilmember Stonemetz is no foreigner to the agriculture industry with 24 years of experience in managing and owing orchards in the Granger and Zillah areas. He is the founder of ProFarm Produce, scaling from a single fruit stand to 18 locations across multiple cities and alongside international sales. Furthermore, his experience with free enterprise has earned him recognition as Entrepreneur of the Pacific Northwest Region through the Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization. Lastly, Councilmember Stonemetz leverages his entrepreneurship experiences to include ongoing engagement activities such as commercial real estate investments that yield increased access and opportunities to the communities he serves.
