CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Trevino called the meeting of August 22, 2017 to order at 7:00 p.m.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Carmen Tollefson, 1102 Eagle Nest Drive, presented Council with a petition to relieve the current Police Chief of his position.
Jaqueline Herrera, 608 Dean Ave., addressed Council and thanked them for the work they do as City Officials. She asked them to remember why they chose to represent the City. She reminded them that decisions they make have a profound effect on the City. She reminded them to keep the best interest of Granger in mind while making decision, as their decision impact everyone in the community.

It was moved by Councilwoman Villarreal to accept the minutes as presented. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez.

LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE PLAN
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to adopt the Limited English Proficiency Language Access Plan (LAP) for the City of Granger. It was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.
MOTION CARRIED: 5-0
SVID AGREEMENT
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp that the City of Granger enter into an Agreement for Crossing/Encroachment with the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District. Motion seconded by Councilman Isiordia.

ORDINANCE 1289
It was moved by Councilwoman Gonzalez to adopt Ordinance 1289, amending the 2017 in the Current Expense Fund in the amount of $11,000. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to pay the bills of August 22, 2017 in the amount of $33,504.43. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor Trevino stated that Council would be retiring into an Executive Session to discuss the performance of a public employee according to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) and pending threatening litigation. Mayor stated that the session would not last any longer than 30 minutes and there may be action taken when Council reconvenes. Council retired into the Executive Session at 7:07 p.m.
Mayor Trevino called the meeting back to order at 7:37 p.m.
AGREEMENT
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to authorize the Mayor to sign and enter into an agreement for the Separation and retirement of Chief Robert Perales. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzales.

ADJOURN
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez. Meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
