CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Trevino called the meeting of August 25, 2020 to order at 7:03 p.m.

PRESENTATION
Mayor Trevino introduced Peter King who is the CEO of the Association of Washington Cities and then gave the floor to Mr. King. Mr. King said he wished he could be at the Council meeting in person to make the presentation, however under the circumstances, it’s not possible.. Mr. King proceeded to give a brief explanation of the Certificate of Municipal Leadership and the Advanced Certificate of Leadership and stated it was an accomplishment to achieve the Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership as only about 15 of these certificates are given during the year. Mr. King congratulated Mayor Trevino on his achievement of receiving the Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership and stated he would be receiving it soon. Mayor Trevino thanked Mr. King and stated that AWC was an awesome association to be a part of and stated he plans on to continue to participate on the various boards.

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to approve the minutes as presented. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.

NEW BUSINESS
Progress Estimates #1 – Mentzer and 2nd Avenue Improvement
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to approve the Progress Estimate in the amount of $287,501.37 and authorize the payment to Central Paving LLC. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Villarreal.

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to pay the bills of August 25, in the amount of 81,774.26. Motion was seconded by Councilman Villarreal.
