CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Trevino called the meeting of January 22, 2019 to order at 7:00 p.m., and advised that the meeting was being video and audio recorded.

It was moved by Councilwoman Villarreal to approve the minutes as presented. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.

NEW BUSINESS
Business License Agreement with DOR
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to have the City of Granger enter into the Business Licensing Service Agreement with the Washington State Department of Revenue, for the purpose of processing the City’s business licenses. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez

Ordinance 1329
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to accept the bid submitted by the Sunnyside Sun and adopt Ordinance 1329, an ordinance relating to the City’s designation of the City’s official newspaper and establish an effect date. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Villarreal.

Evergreen Rural Water of Washington Conference
Motion was made by Councilwoman Sharp to allow the expenditure of $675.00 for Public Works to attend the Evergreen Rural Water of Washington Conference to get their continuing education units. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.

Resolution 2019-01
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to adopt Resolution 2019-01, A resolution supporting the legislature to eliminate sales tax on all VFW’s and American Legions. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Villarreal.

Confirmation to Planning Commission
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to confirm the appointment of Ron Forgey to the Granger Community Development Commission. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez.

Mayor Pro-Tem
It was moved by Councilwoman Villarreal to nominate Councilwoman Sharp as Mayor Pro-Tem for the 2019 year. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez.

Library Board Trustee
Motion was made by Councilwoman Sharp to nominate Councilwoman Gonzalez to the Library Board of Trustees. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.

MAYOR
Mayor Trevino informed Council of an invitation from Yakima Valley Conference of Government and the Yakima City Council to attend a forum on H2A Housing on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at the Yakima Convention Center in Yakima, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

It was moved by Councilwoman Gonzalez to pay the bills of January 22, 2019 in the amount of $231,955.92. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.
