CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Trevino called the meeting of July 24, 2018 to order at 7:00 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING – SIX YEAR STREET PLAN
Mayor Trevino opened the public hearing for the 2019 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program also known as the Six Year Street Plan. He informed the audience that the purpose of the hearing is for Council to consider any comments from the public on the street plan. He then asked if anyone objected to his participation or any of the Council’s participation in the proceeding of the hearing. He then asked the clerk is any written comments were received, she stated that no comments had been received. He asked if anyone present wanted to comment on the Street Plan and then asked if Council or staff had any questions. Hearing none, he closed the public hearing.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Rafael Guzman, Plant Manager of Cargill informed Council that he had presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to be used towards a new fire truck. He said that not having a truck would drastically affect Cargill. He also said that if the City finds other means to pay for the new fire truck, then he would like the Fire Department to spend it on equipment or whatever they need. Mayor and Council thanked Mr. Guzman for the contribution.

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to accept the minutes as presented. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez.

NEW BUSINESS
Refund – Yakima Housing Authority
It was moved by Councilwoman Estrada to refund the Yakima Housing Authority $3,850.95 for hook-up fees that weren’t installed. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez.

Resolution 2018-04
It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to adopt Resolution 2018-04, a Resolution adopting a revised and extended Comprehensive Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the City of Granger. Motion was seconded Councilwoman Estrada.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0
Jet Truck Hose
It was moved by Councilwoman Gonzalez to allow the expenditure of $2,200 for the purchase of a new hose for the Jet Truck. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0

It was moved by Councilwoman Gonzalez to pay the bills of July 24, 2018 in the amount of $118,579.58. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.

PROCLAMATION
Mayor Trevino read the proclamation from Yakima Neighborhood Health and proclaimed August 12th through the 18th as “NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK”, in the City of Granger and urged the community to recognize the multitude of ways in which community health centers are “America’s Health Care Heroes.”

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Gonzalez. Meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
